CSR Press Release : OXY Campaign Supporting over 600 Orang Asli Students

                      Skincare for Teenager


I grew up remembering OXY as a skincare products for teenager with acne skin. Now I am at the 50s. For a brand still around until now is a trusted brand. OXY was started  with a mission to helping teenagers achieve good skin and confidence. The common teen skin problems such as acne , oily skin and blackhead-prone skin can be ease with only 3 simple steps of skincare routine from OXY.


Synonym with its target market, OXY efforts to supporting the education of under privileged student. By combining skincare expertise with social responsibility, OXY strives to make a positive impact on the lives of young people, fostering their holistic well-being and confidence.


This commitments has been going on for the third consecutive year. "Sending Love & Care to Children" educational campaign, OXY has partnered with MyKasih Foundation and Watson Malaysia to provide educational support to more than 600 students from four Orang Asli schools in Selangor.


Its a second year for Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Judah (A), Pulau Carey to be a campaign's beneficiaries. The school saw an improvement in students' attendance, rising from 69% to 80% exceeding its KPI of 72% - thanks to OXY's contribution in audio visual equipment and teaching aids.


The remaining school beneficiaries for this year's campaign, include Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Kemandol (A) in Bandar Saujana Putra, Sekolah Bukit Tampoi (A) in Dengkil and Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Lanjan (A) in Damansara Perdana.


The program covers after-school tutoring for 178 Orang Asli student from standard 4 to 6 to improve their basic skills in reading, spelling and writing. This initiative has improved students literacy in Bahasa Malaysia subject after it was introduced last year at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Judah (A) , Pulau Carey. In addition to the literacy program, OXY's "Sending Love & Care to Children" campaign will also set up reading corners or min libraries in classroom to foster a love for reading. Further support in term of food and other learning materials will be provided to elevate the learning experience of these under privileged children.

The support doesn't stop there. OXY organized a fun interschool mini sports day with various games such as Gunny Sack Race, Filing Water Bottles with a Sponge and Ping Pong and Spoon race , during the mock check handover ceremony. Each students participant received souvenirs from OXY as a token of appreciation for their involvement. The event was to promote physical activity and to develop teamwork among students.

OXY alongside Watsons Malaysia , has successfully raised RM50,000 to fund the education and learning of the Orang Asli students.

My Plantar Fasciitis getting bad after return down to KL from Genting short weekend getaway recently. I guess my backpack load too heavy and stress up my heel so much.
