Hydrate! hydrate! that's the word the beautician keep telling me during my visit to facial treatment before MCO. At that point my thinking always..."I drink plenty of water what? What's the problem?" Well, the beautician obviously were talking about my skin hydration. As the ageing process, it is natural for our skin to lose up some of the essential nutrition just like our body too.
Dehydrated skin occurs when there's a lack of water in the skin. Not like you can feed your skin with water, right?
How the dehydrated skin looks like?
Well, the dehydrated skin usually looks dull and show premature signs of ageing such as wrinkles and loss of elasticity. You can easily tell on the dehydrated skin if you notice some of the symptoms below :
* More sensitive fine lines and wrinkles start to appear
* You skin feel itchy
* Dull skin
* Dark under-eye circles or your eyes always look tired and sunken.
Still unable to tell? You can do the simple dehydrated skin test at home, which I call it " Self pinching test".
Dehydrated skin test :
1. Pinch small portion of skin on your cheek, abdomen, check or even the back of your hand. Then hold for a few seconds.
2. Release it. Then if your skin snaps back or bounces back means you are likely safe. Not dehydrated.
3. If your skin takes a few seconds to bounce back means... you definitely need help. You are likely dehydrated.
You can repeat this process in other skin areas too.
By the way, don't get confused between dehydrated skin and dry skin. Dry skin most likely oily or combination skin where skin complexion lacks oils or lipids. If your skin appears flaky and dry appearance then most likely you are suffering for dry skin too.
Other dry skin symptoms:
* scaly appearance
* redness and irritation
* white flakes
* sudden eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.
As for me, my skin is more dehydrated on the face and dry in the leg and other parts of the body.
I used to apply the whole range of dehydration skin series for my face skin and hydration lotion for other parts of the body. Since the hydration gets better. These days, I more focus on brightening skincare series and just apply hydration face mask sheet on alternate days in a week. But the cost can be expensive.

My experience trying out IMBZ Infinite Hyaluronic Acid Silk Mask :
The silk mask sheet is really soft and soaked with essence. I applied it on well-cleansed skin for around 10 minutes. I don't want to soak more than 10 minutes and overdosed my skin. I was so pleased with the immediate effect with just one application.
Love that my dull skin turns out brighter than usual and the moisturising level is much better than usual. I could say my skin look much better and healthier even after 3 days.
