I was delighted when the Green Rebel finally reached Malaysia. I heard about them last year and was so craving to try them. Green Rebel is Indonesia's leading alternative - protein startup. Malaysia is the second market expansion outside Indonesia and Singapore. Green Rebel offers whole-cut plant-based meat alternatives for Southeast Asian consumers in search of a healthier flexitarian diet. Things that I have been told that Green Rebel's products are thoughtfully curated by chefs, nutritionists, and food technologists to provide optimal nutrition and taste profile while minimizing carbon footprint.
Green Rebel's products are ready-to-cook and will only take less than six minutes from fridge to table, and can last up to 12 months in the freezer. Totally on point for people who lead busy schedules and live fast-paced lifestyles as it is a more convenient option to prepare daily meals at home.
Up to now, what do you think Green Rebel food is?
As mentioned this is a plant-based food. So, the package includes chicken and beef alternatives, veggie protein, and cheese.
Some of Green Rebel Food's signature and must-try are Beefless Steaks and Beefless Rendang. They also have other famous ones such as Chick & Satay etc.

You have the options to eat it just as it is after warming it up for 3 to 6 minutes. Depends on which method you use. They have clear details and instructions on the box. You can also get creative to use this as part of your meal ingredients such as Black pepper beefless noodles using the Green Rebel Beef Steak or a delicious Rendang Pasta using the Green Rebel Beefless Rendang. Totally good options for our vegan friends too. To be honest, I would like to try out the recipes using Green Rebel food now. Just follow my IG @Cindyreena for an update ya.
Worry not! as wrote earlier this is a plant-based food. The Green Rebel has done a lot of research and used ingredients such as shitake mushrooms and no-GMO soy to successfully mimic the beef texture and delicious.
